游戏角色教程:制作魔兽世界血精灵(上)

This tutorial will covers some of the interesting steps of producing this image. starting with what sparked the idea, and covering the modeling, texturing, rendering and compossiting. I will also share a few tips and tricks as I show the process.

Concept and Inspiration

Not much to say here. After quite a long time of no free-time personal projects, I run across a sketch of a blood elf from Blizzard and I was flooded with inspiration. I then gathered a few more sketches by samwise and at a certain point I had a very clear picture in my mind on the whole composition and on very specific things like the armor's design. I should note that the sketches sparked it for me and helped my inspiration run, but I was in no way trying to duplicate it, I wanted to give it my own design.

(这儿没什么太多的要讲。有相当长的一段时间没空做个人作品,之后我偶然发现了一张来之暴雪公司的学精灵的素描而后我整个都被灵感所充斥。之后我收集了一些samwise的素描并且在某种程度上来讲说整个作品和具体的物件,比如盔甲的设计,在我的思想中都有着一个很清晰的印象。我注意到是那张素描造成了这种印象并帮助激发了我的灵感,但我觉不是试图复制这张素描,而是给要给予它我自己的设计思想。)
